Capital Thunder Youth Hockey is a non-profit organization benefiting youth ages 6-18 throughout the Sacramento Region over the past 25 years. The goal of our organization is to teach our youth leadership, sportsmanship, camaraderie and athletic achievement through the team sport of ice hockey. An all volunteer board of directors and division representatives handle the many tasks associated with a youth sports organization.
Formerly known as the Sacramento Flames, our teams have earned numerous regional and state titles including:
Midget 18 State Champions in 2005
PeeWee NORCAL Champions 2006
Midget 16 NORCAL and State Champions 2006
Skatetown Ice Arena in Roseville, known for its fast ice and clean presentation, is the home rink for Thunder Hockey. Our mission is to educate our youth about this world-class team sport and make ice hockey as accessible and affordable for all children who want to play – boys and girls of all ages and backgrounds.
