Nomination Deadline – Midnight, February 22, 2026

The time has come once again for our annual board elections.  There are 3 positions up for election this year.  This is your chance to help continue to grow the club, help plan events, and be an influential piece of the Thunder program.  If you see a position you feel you would be a great fit for, go for it!  The  positions open for election are:

  • President – Currently being held by Susan Lapsley; Term will begin April 1, 2026, and end March 31, 2028.
  • VP Fundraising – Currently being held by Miranda Fisher (Carson 14A); Term will begin April 1, 2026, and end March 31, 2028.
  • Head Commissioner– Currently being held by Jessica Inoke; Term will begin April 1, 2026, and end March 31, 2028.

All positions are non-compensated and volunteer. 

If you are interested in filling one of the above positions, please submit by midnight February 22, 2026: (1) your nomination request identifying the position you would like to fill; (2) a resume; and (3) your qualifications to fill the position (a brief description is sufficient). If more than one nomination is received for any of the open positions, a vote will be taken on that position. Your resume and qualifications will be made available to members in the event a vote needs to be taken on the position. If needed, voting will take place on February 26, 2026. There will be one vote per family.

Please feel free to reach out to current Board members to get more information on any position you are interested in.

President – Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Preside at all meetings of the Club 
    • Coordinate the work of the officers and committees for the Club 
    • Work with the Treasurer to present an Annual Budget 
    • Attend all Board meetings and events 
    • Be authorized to sign on all bank accounts 
    • Attend all NorCal Board Meetings (held at different locations within Northern California, travel required dependent upon location of meeting) (Monthly Meetings & Conference Calls)

VP Fundraising – Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Assist the President as needed
    • Assist with the daily operation of the Club
    • Attend all Board meetings and events
    • Coordinate and lead all fundraising events
    • Attend and manage all fundraising events 

Head Commissioner – Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Oversee activities of all Team Managers including training and operations of each team
    • Ensure that all Team Managers are following Club policies as well as NorCal policies 
    • Coordinate Score Board/Time-to-Score system and hand-written score sheet training and completion as instructed by NorCal 
    • Communicate necessary information to each Team Manager from all Board meetings 
    • Attend all Board meetings and events
